Food Drive | September 2 — 30
September is Hunger Action Month. “According to the USDA, more than 34 million people, including 9 million children, in the United States are food insecure (meaning there is a lack of consistent access to enough food for everyone in the household).” One of LifePoint’s ministries that serves our community is our Food Pantry. Our food pantry has served an average of 110 individuals per month this year. We want to invite you to partner with us by filling a grocery bag with needed items (see the list on the flyer) and returning it to LifePoint any Sunday morning in September. We are also inviting our local community to participate in the Food Drive. Members of our community can drop off items to the Food Pantry throughout September at the LifePoint offices during the Food Pantry hours: 8:30 am — 12:00 pm, Monday — Thursday.
LifePoint’s Annual Chili Cook Off | October 5th 6:00 -8:00 PM
Join us for an all church Chili Cook Off and Bonfire Party (weather permitting) at the Kinsey’s home (66520 Co Rd 19 Goshen, IN 46526, Goshen). Sign up at the Welcome Center to enter your best recipe. We will “vote” for our favorite chili by dropping cash tips into each entry’s jar — the chili with the most money wins the Golden Spoon Award! Bring a lawn chair, a dessert to share, bug spray, and all the other outdoor bonfire essentials. Come hungry, bring your friends, and get ready for a fun evening together!
