Food Drive | September 1 — 28
September is Hunger Action Month. “According to the USDA, more than 34 million people, including 9 million children, in the United States are food insecure (meaning there is a lack of consistent access to enough food for everyone in the household).” One of LifePoint’s ministries that serves our community is our Food Pantry. Our food pantry has served an average of 125 individuals per month this year. We want to invite you to partner with us by filling a grocery bag with needed items (see the list on the flyer) and returning it to LifePoint by Sunday, September 29th. Join us to generously meet the demand of the need. We are also inviting our local community to participate in the Food Drive. Saturday, September 28, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, our community can drop off items to the Food Pantry or throughout September at the LifePoint offices during office hours.
Chili Cook Off and Bonfire | October 6th
Join us for an all church Chili Cook Off and Bonfire Party (weather permitting) at the Kinsey’s home (66520 Co Rd 19 Goshen, IN 46526, Goshen). Sign up at the Welcome Center to participate in the Chili Cook Off. Bring a lawn chair, a dessert to share, bug spray, and all the other outdoor bonfire essentials.
Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Pro Tip:
If you plan to pack your own shoe box this year for Operation Christmas Child now is a great time to purchase school supplies for your boxes. LifePoint church will once again have boxes available for you to take one home to fill. We will also make sure your box gets shipped if you return it to the church with postage cost as the church is not planning to pay for postage. Bring your shoe box(es) to LifePoint Church no later than Sunday November 3rd.
Wing Men | Second Monday of the Month | 7pm
Join me (Anthony) at the Goshen Wings Etc. on the second Monday of the month at 7pm. Wings, other men, and the community we often need but don't seek out.
