I’d take a two month trip touring many national parks in the western US.

My husband and I enjoy binge watching TV shows on Netflix. As a family, we enjoy riding bikes and playing disc golf in the summer. Both sides of our immediate family are here in Goshen, so we enjoy spending as much time with grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles as possible.

Michael Buble Pandora station. Good ole’ classics!

What do you love about LifePoint Church?
From the first day I visited LifePoint, I noticed something different about it, that in all my years of attending church, I hadn’t come across. The people are genuine, friendly and caring in a way that a lot of churches simply lack. The relationships I’m building are a constant blessing.

Doug Conway

How long have you been attending LifePoint Church?
My wife, Shana, and I first started attending LifePoint in 2004 and continued until 2013 when I left to pursue other ministries in Elkhart. We returned to LifePoint in 2015 when I accepted the position of Administrative Assistant specializing in communication.

Who are the most important people in your life?
The most important person in my life is, of course, my wife, Shana. Between the two of us we have seven children. Mine, hers and ours would make eight. Mine: I have four wonderful children two sons, Ray and Mack, and two daughters, Chelsea and Cassie. Cassie and Ray are twins. Hers: my great stepchildren, step son, Caleb and two stepdaughters, Ashlynn and Lauren. Ours: is the spoiled child, our beautiful dog, Ramsay.

If you could vacation anywhere, where would you go?
I have always wanted to go to Hollywood. Being an old movie buff. I have always wanted to see the studios where the great movies were made.

What do you do when you’re not at work?
We are in the process of remodeling our house here in Goshen. This takes up a great bit of our time and money lately. I also watch a lot of classic tv shows and movies.

What was your childhood ambition?
My childhood ambition was to be a cartoonist, comic book artist. I had started a Christian based comic strip in the late 90’s that was published in a few Christian publications. It was called “Faith of a Child.” It followed a small group of church kids that showed the way they perceived stories being taught to them in the Bible and how they interpreted the stories. I also worked with a co-artist on a comic book series called “Archangel” in the late 90’s that was about to be published when the co-artist passed away. I have not drawn seriously since he passed. I passed down my talents and gifts to my youngest son Mack who has surpassed me as an artist and I am so overjoyed that he is such a great artist.

What do you love about LifePoint Church?
I love that LifePoint is multigenerational. This allows for those in the older generation to pass down their wisdom and stories into my life. This has been such a rich blessing. This also allows me to pass down that same wisdom and stories down to the younger generation and I hope I have returned the blessings I have received. I love that LifePoint focuses most of their ministries beyond the walls of LifePoint and serves our community.
